Es Canar Restaurants and Bars
The following are a few I enjoy visiting either for value, menu or location. I would welcome any suggestions from you with a few words of description.
Es Cana Bar/Restaurant - corner of Es Cana beach by bus station with Es Cana apartments above.
A local favourite of mine due to its convenient location for drinks, cheap lunches and snacks as well as very good fish and steak meals in the evening plus excellent and friendly service over the years.
The bar has three large screens for any sport you request so looking forward to Euros in July.

Around the island
Cas Pages - on main road between Santa Eulalia and San Carlos - 2013 about 9 euros taxi
Fantastic for steaks, pork, chicken, rabbit, lamb meals but no chips( what is on menu refers to "crisps") or veg - can get baked potato - good wines and deserts. Always a great buzz of an atmosphere and except for chilly evenings in May or October, al fresco dining in the garden under the vines. Will not accept reservations or credit cards - cash only .
Atzaro - on Cala Nova beach
I far preferred this restaurant for meals when it was Zen Sea but still ok for drinks.
La Oliva - Ibiza Old Town
Great location, atmosphere food and wine
Sal Marina - on the front at Santa Eulalia
Lovely location where in high summer, while dining, you can watch the yachts and ferries coming and going into harbour - food and wine worth putting up with the fussy service.
Atenea - on front at Santa Eulalia - sadly now closed
A good while since I had an evening meal there but have enjoyed some excellent lunches more recently.
Skuma - in the marina at Santa Eulalia
Good place to eat and people watch - menu to come
Daffers - in the street of restaurants, Santa Eulalia - about 10 Euros taxi - sadly closed
Mostly excellent meals and you can get a choice of a starter, main and desert for 13.50 Euros if
you go as an "early bird" from about 6.30 pm. The portions are not huge but the three courses are adequate for me. Well worth a visit and best to book - 34 971 336 709.
The Gallery - in the street of restaurants, Santa Eulalia - about 10 Euros taxi - sadly closed
A few doors down from Daffers. I find the food is normally better (but dearer) and the wine list more extensive for my taste but more recently the service has deteriorated - still well worth a visit and best to book - 34 660 662 220.
Bar Costa in Santa Gertrudis
Good atmosphere and cheap food and wine - only local products available so Serrano ham, Manchego cheese, Chorizo sausage in or with bocadillos sitting outside in high summer or inside in the chillier evenings where to huge fires keep you warm and you can view the local art on the walls.
Anitas bar - San Carlos
Great place for a drink and watch accidents happen - unfortunately the planners disagree and built a bypass around the village and spoilt the fun.
S'Argentera - San Carlos
Reasonably priced meals and busy on a Saturday when the best hippy market takes place at Las Dalias
Casa Piedra - on the main road towards Jesus, just after the main turning for Cala Llonga - about 16 euros taxi -sadly now closed
Once was a favourite of mine but has changed hands a couple of times since Michel and Rosie and I have not returned recently
Zebra - signposted once you get into Cala Llonga - 20 euros taxi - sadly now closed
Run by ex Cala Nova Elo and her partner Pepe - taxi fare now means our visits are rare.
S'Illot des Rencli - on main road to Portinatx
I love the location and had my first Rotja platter here - beautiful fish and great place for an early evening drink
