Things to do if you want a change from sitting around the pool or on the beach

Walks

If you are fit and able, it is possible to walk to Santa Eularia along the coastal path with plenty of bars en route - I would recommend a bus / ferry / taxi for the retun journey !!

Another popular walk is to San Carlos particularly on a Saturday for the hippy market

but beware there is little shade and no bars en route.

Driving

If you are driving around the island, consider the local laws for which you can be stopped and fined for example

i   carrying shopping on rear seat

ii  wearing flipflops when driving

iii not wearing a shirt or top when driving

Also watch your speed as there are at least two speed cameras which are grey and low down unlike uk yellow and high and the alcohol limit is lower than in England.

The local police are also hot on parking as I found out to my cost - you have to attend the local police station and pay the fine of 300 euros to get your car back from the pound.

Niki Beach - +34 619 753 710, reservations.ibiza@nikibeach.com

- just above S'Argamassa beach. For those of you with full wallets, in 2021 beds were from 350 to 950 euros for the day although that did include a bottle of champagne and food from the pool menu

Churches

- there are several beautiful churches on the island including

San Carlos,

Santa Eularia del Rio

- the only river in the Balearics hence the name and you can choose to bathe where the river meets the sea. The bridge is used as a love bridge for leaving padlocks.

Santa Gertrudis - where you can see the Ibicenco blue and white cows and now in multi colours - Ibiza is weird but Dr Sluiz is out of this world with special parking areas for groups which I will resist naming
